# Server Backups
Here is a comprehensive guide how to setup server backups within your Discord server using AllinOne.
### What gets backed up?
* ✅ **Channels** (all types: text, voice, announcements, forums, categories)
* ✅ **Threads & Forum Posts**
* ✅ **Messages** (up to 100 per channel)
* ✅ **Roles**
* Role names, colors, positions
* Permissions
* Role icons and emojis
* ✅ **Member Data**
* Role assignments for all members
* ✅ **Emojis**
* ✅ **Attachments /** **Files**
* Up to 300kb per attachment / up to 2mb per server / 700KB max backup
### Before we get started.
* ## **Make sure AllinOne Role has Administrator Permissions and access to hidden channels! Or they wont backup.**
* Also keep in mind, this will delete and restore channels, but channel ids, and message ids will be different. Make sure when the bot is finished restoring, you go through and re-enable your setting you have within the bot. For example, your temp voice, join to create and control panel will not work.
### Setup
1. Start by using the `/setup` command within your discord and click "Miscellanous Features"\
2. From there hit the "Server Backups" button\
3. Select "Enable Backups"\
4. Now you're going to select which channel you want Server Backup Notifications\
5. Now backups are enabled\
### Setting up automated backups
1. Head back to the Server Backups under Misc. Features
2. From there select "Toggle Auto Backups" \
3. Once enabled head back to settings\
4. Select "Set Backup Interval" \
5. From there you have options to chose from. Select what you would like! \
* Everyone has a max of **5 backups** per Discord server**.**
* Here is what it looks like when your server is backed up. \
* Keep in mind, it will auto rotate from oldest - newest backups with automated backups. So your oldest backup always autodeletes for the newest.
### Commands
* `/viewbackups` - From here you can view your Discord servers backups we have stored. \
* `/restore {id}` - Chose one of your five backups you have available. \
* `/backup` - Backup your server\
### Additional Features:
* Set which roles that can backup/restore your Discord server - default: Administrators only. \

* If you have suggestions or want to report bugs use the /aioreport command in your Discord, we are listening!
### Additional Notes:
* Keep in mind each guild is allocated up to 2mb with 700kb max per backup.
### Dashboard Settings:
Want to change what gets backed up? Well access the [dashboard](https://dashboard.allinonebot.cc/) to configure.
1. After signing in and choosing your guild, head to "Server Backup Module"
2. From there you can view your current backups, view the settings for the backups, and edit your config.
3. Clicking the "🔒" setting will prevent the backup from automatically being deleted.
